Controlled Chaos.

The feeling is all too familiar.

FOODTOGRAPHY is a column that features food photos and portraits that capture everything relating to the food world whether it be emotions or just great food shots.

In the restaurant business, you show up to work and almost expect to experience a form of controlled chaos. Otherwise known as “In The Weeds” or “In the Shits”. But the funny thing is, you don’t complain, whine nor give up.  You just get the job done. This photo, taken at  a restaurant kitchen in Toronto, gives us a glimpse into that controlled chaos. Sure, all you see is just a regular kitchen during a busy service. What you don’t know is that they may be on a wait list of 15+ people, during brunch for that matter, with 2-3 guys working the line, and for a moment ,they just might be slipping into the weeds. But they don’t give up. They just get the job done.
