This month’s Beverage of Choice is CUVÉE 13 ROSÉ from Ontario’s very own Thirteenth Street Winery. It’s definitely a good look for those summer nights where you just want to kick back and celebrate.

13TH STREET CUVÉE 13 ROSÉ 2006
Made By: Thirteenth Street Wine Corp
Made In: Ontario, Canada
Grape: 55% Pinot Noir and 45% Chardonnay
Available through the winery or at the LCBO (00164863) $24.95
The wine is a pale salmon in colour, the nose displays bright berry fruit, light citrus and floral notes. The palate is dry and crisp with a frothy, creamy mousse. Strawberry and light citrus fruit lead to a mineral finish, nice acidity and length. This is a great value sparkling wine, a lovely alternative to pricier Champagne. Delicious on it’s own, as an aperitif or with shellfish, sushi or tempura.
