Its an age old quandary: You aren’t sure how much pasta to cook, wary of wastefully cooking too much but also afraid of not cooking enough.
Damjan Stankovic, a designer from Belgrarde, Serbia, has designed a pasta server that also gives you the proper portion of spaghetti for one person or for up to four people if you are cooking for family or friends. Just place a handful of spaghetti in the ridged handle of the server and gently close it so that the one serving of spaghetti you want is held in place and the rest falls out. Then just take hold of your pasta, release the handles of the spaghetti server and get cooking.
We love the idea of a pasta portioner but one that is built into the spoon that you then use to serve your spaghetti? Now that is smart.
