Amuse-Bouche

The idea of fresh New Zealand ingredients and old French recipes is pretty playful. So are Thomas and Etienne, the founders of Tomette.

Designer Kate Cullum has also given Tomette a playful brand identity with curly, black mustaches, vintage fonts and rustic potato sack fabric. Tomette may make food from France but they aren’t afraid to make fun of the French, throwing in le, les and bon appetit whenever they get a chance and misspelling a few French words. French cuisine can be a bit fancy with its chicken Basquaise and its lamb Provençal but Tomette makes it playful and approachable.
