From the street markets of New York to its first brick and mortar, Brooklyn Taco has grown. And now, so has its brand identity.
When it came to designing a brand identity for Brooklyn Taco, New York design studio Tag Collective wanted to bring Brooklyn and Mexico together in a playful way. The designers used warm colours like golden yellow and deep red to represent Mexico but also used a bold, black and white pattern to pay respect to Brooklyn. They also designed the inside of the Brooklyn Taco taqueria in a way that is both modern, urban Brooklyn and colourful, traditional Mexico with painted brick walls, tarnished metal bar stools, chalkboard menus and wooden counter tops.
Jesse Kramer and Erica Molina of Brooklyn Taco have melded Mexico and Brooklyn into a menu of tasty tacos and now they have a brand identity that does the same thing.
