Dale Talde of Brooklyn’s Talde Restaurant

Despite the fact that Talde opened in Park Slope, Brooklyn’s latest bourgeoning neighborhood, chef Dale Talde says he is ‘not a hipster.”

With food so good, we don’t care what he is or isn’t, so long as we can get a reservation on our next visit to Brooklyn.

Talde opened its doors in January with photographer, John Bush, and restaurateur, David Massoni. A native of Chicago who was raised by Filipino parents, chef Talde’s menu is made up of Asian-American fare with an elevated yet playful tone. Crispy oyster-bacon pad thai with Benton’s Bacon and Frank’s Red Hot Sauce and Korean friend chicken with yogurt-kimchee are just a couple of the mouth-watering offerings.

Knowing Talde’s track record (he once worked alongside Iron Chef titan, Masaharu Morimoto) we anticipate only great things from the Talde kitchen.
