It doesn’t get much less sustainable than the styrofoam egg cartons you get at the grocery store but Sarah Machicado has an alternative.
As a student, Machicado designed an egg carton that uses corrugated, post-consumer cardboard and soy-based ink, making it much more sustainable than most egg cartons on the market. Her egg cartons also have handles for carrying, a foldable, stackable design and a modern look. Its bold, black font, white space and subtle, chic pattern on the inside make Machicado’s egg carton a design winner.
