Wouldn’t it be beautiful to open up a bounty of fresh fruits and vegetables, knowing that they had been grown organically and travelled less than an hour to get to you? This film from CERES Fair Food gives us a taste of what it might be like.
CERES Fair Food is a group from Melbourne Australia that works to grow, harvest and distribute local, organic foods to the people around them.
The CERES Fair Food film, which was made by Chris Grose, introduces us to a few of the farmers who grow and harvest the food, the migrant workers who package the food, the managers and hosts who distribute the food and the people who have come to love eating the food, locally and organically. These are people who genuinely care about the value of food, where it comes from and how it is grown. By making fresh, local organic fruits and vegetables available to people and by selling it for an affordable price, CERES Fair Food has created a community of people who are more aware and connected to their food then ever before.
