It takes talent to capture the essence of a food in a single still frame. It also take talent to depict the people behind the fantastic foods.
Photography duo, Gentl and Hyers, have mastered each of these arts. Each frame in their photo series, “eat,” seems to embody the food that it features, from fried eggs to lettuce leaves. In their other series, “the locavores,” Gentl and Hyers bring light to the people behind the plates, from organic chicken farmers to Brooklyn chocolatiers.
