When Vice’s Munchies took to the streets of Philly, they did so lead by Jeff Micaud, chef at Alla Spina.
Micaud kept the night’s adventures true to his own restaurant’s roots—a showcase of the city’s best pub and late-night greasiness.
Among the crew’s stops were Percy Street Barbecue to get some Texas-style dry rub favorites and Pub & Kitchen for a fair dose of locker room humor. At the end of it all, it’s back to Micaud’s Italian style gastropub, Alla Spina, for a feast of fried selections. A night topped off with craft beer, fried pigtails, snails in beer batter and a brined and roasted pig’s head is one for the books.
