At first sight, this photo looks like a scene straight out of a drug cartel documentary, when in actuality it’s just a group of Sriracha lovers concocting their rendition of one the most beloved hot sauces on the market.
Sriracha is a type of hot sauce, named after the coastal city of Si Racha, in the Chonburi Province of central Thailand, where it was possibly first produced for dishes served at local seafood restaurants. When you say the word “Sriracha”, the first thing that typically comes to mind is the “Rooster Brand” by Huy Fong Foods. What you didn’t know is that there is another brand of Sriracha on the come up, made right in the heart of Brooklyn, New York.
This recent video by Liza de Guia of Foodcurated.com introduces us to Jolene Collins, the founder and artisan behind Jojo’s Sriracha. Jolene talks about her unrivaled obsession with Sriracha and shows us the painstaking process behind her creation.

I just watched this video today on Food Curated. I want to buy some of their Sriracha, but it’s sold out in the Etsy shop.
