Microscopic Martinis from BevShots

Hanging a microscopic image on your wall may sound kind of nerdy but what if we told you that they were bright, abstract photographs of vodka or German pilsner taken through a microscope?

This is the idea behind BevShots, which takes photos of alcoholic drinks like red wine, dirty martini, Bloody Mary, black Russian and Belgium lambic beer that were taken under a microscope. The photos were taken at Florida State University by a chemist named Michael Davidson but have since become coveted for their stunning colours and abstract designs.

That’s definitely a science we can get behind.
