Mic’s Chilli Sauce’s Hot Design

Chili sauces are known for their outrageous names and wild packaging, but Mic’s Chilli Sauce may have the best design and branding yet.

The labels for Mic’s Chilli Inferno Sauces were designed by Steve Simpson and are as hot as the sauces themselves.

We love that Simpson’s sketchy skulls, sombreros, hot peppers and devil masks look like they could be scrawled on the wall of some alleyway in Mexico but the black, cream, turquoise and rust red colouring couldn’t be more modern. Simpson’s label designs are a nod to Mexican folk art but he lightens up a notoriously sinister kind of art with child-like characters and playful drawings.
