Mischer and Traxler’s Molded Bowls

We know to appreciate the shape, size and texture of our food but Katharina Mischer and Thomas Traxler, a design duo from Vienna, have taken this appreciation to another level.

Mischer and Traxler use ceramic powder to create bowls with the fine, detailed imprints of vegetables on the inside. Cauliflower, celeriac, cabbage, melon, beet, fennel, apple, pepper and orange. Each bowl is as unique as the vegetable that was used to mold it.

The bowls were debuted at Milan Fashion Week a couple of years ago.
