The time has finally come where we can consume solid foods with a mere inhale of air from a straw – sort of.
While it all sounds a bit science fiction, we may soon be able to eat our favourite foods by breathing in a puff of flavoured air. From Marc Bretillot and David Edwards, the designers of Le Whif, comes Le Whaf, an eating experience that gives you a mouthful of flavour by sucking up a cloud of parmesan or beef and mushroom consommé.
The food is broken down into a liquid and then broken down into a kind of vapor, which is inhaled through a chic looking carafe. Le Whaf may not be much of a meal yet but Bretillot and Edwards believe that inhaling our food and drink is the future of dining and the Le Whaf carafes have already begun to appear in restaurants and bars all over the world.
The best part is that the clouds contain almost no calories, allowing you to enjoy a night of guilt-free breathing.
