The history of Herriott Grace is a nostalgic one.
Father and daughter, Lance and Nikole Herriott, lived on opposite sides of the country. Lance lived in Victoria, British Columbia and Nikole lived in Toronto, Ontario. What started out as Lance sending care packages to his daughter has turned into a thriving business.
Lance has collected wood since the seventies and is a gifted carver of wooden spoons, which he would send to Nikole in the mail. Nikole loved her father’s work and, eventually, convinced him to sell his wooden spoons online. Nikole would handle the business side.
The father and daughter duo have expanded Herriot Grace beyond Lance’s wooden spoons and now also sell one-of-a-kind porcelain dishware, rolling pins, serving boards and other salvaged, hand-carved, wooden objects.
Oh, and did we mention that Lance and Nikole still live 3400 kilometers away?
