Such an activity might not strike you as your top choice, perhaps taking a backseat to basketball or the latest big screen hit. The latest addition to Dovrefjell National Park north of Oslo might change your mind.
To make the experience of reindeer watching a bit more pleasurable, the National Wild Reindeer Foundation has commissioned a shelter by Oslo-based practice snøhetta, to keep warm inside. The wooden interior is full of cascading sloped of smooth wood, seeming to be slowly dripping with liquid qualities of honey. A simple hearth suspended from the ceiling offers a modern take on homey comfort, flickering flames warming explorers as they watch.
Amidst the chilly and rock-filled landscape, this oasis gives patrons of the park a chance to rest in splendor.
