At just 24 years old, Bradley Herron is already chef de cuisine at one of Miami’s most famous restaurants and has begun to make a name for himself.
When Herron started working night shifts as a line cook at Michael’s Genuine Food and Drink in Miami, Florida, he hoped to work his way up in the kitchen. But what he didn’t expect was to be given the role of chef de cuisine after just four months. A chef de cuisine as young as Herron is already rare. One promoted as soon as he was is almost unheard of.
Herron has thrived as chef de cuisine at Michael’s Genuine but he has also begun to make a name for himself outside of the restaurant. He recently cooked up python, wild boar and lion fish in a local competition to raise awareness of the invasive species in Florida.
Herron says that after working at Michael’s Genuine, he can’t see himself anywhere else. Even still, we think Herron is one chef to keep an eye on.
